When Am I Twice as Old as My Child? – Day-X Calculation to the Exact Day
With this calculation you can find out
when one person is exactly twice as old as another.
The date is calculated to the exact day.
This function is frequently used by parents with children
to find out when a parent
is exactly twice as old as their child.

The “twice as old” moment
In Calculation 3 a specific day is calculated:
the day when one person
is exactly twice as old as another.
This moment occurs
only once in a lifetime.
👤 Select the older person
First select the parent
in the dropdown field
“Older person”.
Nobody saved yet?
Click “Add recipient”.
Further below you will find instructions on how this works.
👶 Select children
On the left side you will see
all available recipients.
- Click one or more children
- they will appear on the right as selected recipients
🔄 Wrong selection?
Click the name on the right –
it will move back to the left list.
➕ Add recipients (if needed)
Is the list empty or is someone missing?
- Click “Add recipient”
- Enter the following information:
- Name or nickname
- Date of birth
- Email address
!! IMPORTANT !!
Tick the checkbox:
“I hereby confirm that I am allowed to send messages to this email address.” - Then return to Calculation 3
For additional children or parents
you can repeat this process at any time.
📧 Why is an email address needed?
So that Day-X can automatically send a surprise message
on the calculated date –
right when this once-in-a-lifetime moment arrives.
🔍 First calculation – free
After clicking “Calculate”
Day-X shows:
- all saved data for each person
- the number of days each person has lived
- an overview of all people involved
This first calculation prepares the result
and is free.
▶️ Continue the calculation
In the button “Continue calculation”
you will see:
- how many tokens are required
(depending on the number of children) - below that, how many tokens are still available
After clicking “Continue calculation”
Day-X calculates:
- the exact date
when the parent
is exactly twice as old as child 1 - for each additional child
the corresponding date is calculated as well
📅 The result
For each selected child Day-X shows:
- how many days
remain until that date - how old each person involved
will be on that day in days
This moment occurs
only once in a lifetime.
💾 Save
The results can then be
saved.
The greeting card is stored in the
“Greeting Cards” menu
and can be accessed there at any time.
