When Do a Person and Their Pet Reach a Specific Number of Days Together?

Calculate the combined days of a person and a pet

Calculation 6 calculates a very special moment:
the day when a person and their pet together
reach a specific number of days.

This is usually a round number
(for example 10,000, 15,000 or 18,000 days).

👉 Example:
On a specific date the person is 11,061 human days old,
and the pet on that same date is 6,939 pet days old.

Together: 18,000 days.
Day-X calculates exactly when that date will be.

🧠 How is it calculated?

• People are measured in human days
• Pets are measured in pet days

Since pets usually age faster than humans,
Day-X uses different ageing models.

📋 The pet table currently contains (see the “Account” menu)
16 pets,
each with their own ageing rate compared to humans.

👤 Select a person and a pet

Now select:

• in the “Person” field: a person
• in the “Pet” field: the corresponding animal

No entries yet?
Then click “Add name”.

➕ Add a recipient (person or pet)

In the “Add recipient” window
you will find the “Type” field.

There you select:

• Person
• Pet (from the list)

Then enter:

• Name
• Date of birth
• Email address (for people only)

!! IMPORTANT !!
Tick the checkbox:
“I hereby confirm that I am allowed to send messages to this email address.”

Then return to the calculation.

📧 Why is an email address needed?
So that Day-X can automatically send you a surprise message or reminder
on this shared anniversary day.

🔍 First calculation – free

After clicking “Calculate” Day-X shows:

• all calculated information for person and pet
• the human days counted so far
• the pet days counted so far
• all data from the date of birth until today

This first calculation forms the basis
for the further calculation and is free.

🎯 Set your target value

The system automatically suggests
the nearest round 1,000-day value
(for example 18,000 days).

You can either:

• accept this value
• or change it as you wish

▶️ Continue the calculation

In the button “Continue calculation” you will see:

• how many tokens are required
• below the button, how many tokens you still have available

After clicking, Day-X calculates:

📅 the exact date
when person and pet together
will reach the chosen number of days.

🔁 Calculate again – no extra tokens

With “Calculate again” you can:

• keep the same person and pet
• change the target value up to two more times
• and recalculate

➡ without any additional token deduction.

💾 Save

After the third calculation
or by clicking “Save”
the greeting card is saved.

You will find it afterwards in the
“Greeting Cards” menu.
